Models and effort
Canto, Fable and Oriel, the five effort levels, and how credits work.
The three models

Auto
Auto sends maths, logic and code to Oriel, documents, websites and writing to Fable, and quick questions to Canto. On the free plan it uses Canto.
Effort
Every model has five effort levels: Light, Medium, High, High-Plus and Ultra. More effort means longer thinking and longer answers, and costs more credits. Light is half price and Ultra is five times.
At Ultra, the model writes a draft, reviews it like a strict expert, then gives you the fixed answer. Use it for the hardest problems.
Credits
Each reply costs the model's credits times the effort. At Medium, that's 1 for Canto, 2 for Fable and 4 for Oriel. Your plan's credits refill every 5 hours and every week. When they run out, Dianoetic uses any extra credits you have, then tells you when your credits reset.
